Anyfi, a company developing a way to create virtual hotspots in private WLANs, has just recieved a round of early-stage investments. The investments totals 10M SEK (€1,2M) and is mainly by Industrifonden, a Swedish investment fond.

The aim of the company has always been global, and the raised capital will be used for hiring new talent to the company. Both a VP of sales as well as software developers are needed (if you are interested, check the positions out here).

Anyfi aims to bring “Mobile Wi-Fi that just works”, utilizing existing Wi-Fi with a Zero sign-in method. The company is founded by Björn Smedman and Johan Almbladh, and has Hampus Jakobsson from TAT as one of its senior advicers.

Correction 2012/09/16 – the round was 10M sek, not 9M sek as previously reported. Our mistake, thanks for Björn Smedman to notify us about it.
