Calling all Photoshop-enthusiasts, designers and illustrators:  STPLN, in collaboration with Adobe, invite you to half a day of seminars which will introduce you to the basics of 3D printing – entirely free or charge! Whether you’re building prototypes, enjoy creating jewelery or are just fascinated by the concept of 3D printing, this lecture will help you understand 3D printing at its simplest form and help you effortlessly transform your digital artwork into tangible objects.

The event is set for September 27th, from 9:30 to 13:00 at Stapelbäddsgatan 3 Malmö, 211 19. Get your ticket here.

You’ll be joined by special guest Olaf Diegel; professor at Lund’s Technical University by day, 3D printer by night, who has become recognized for printing his own instruments – like his 3D saxophone. He likens printing to ‘therapy’ and is excited over the rapid development of the 3D printer and what it has to offer the scientific world in the near future.

‘The advantage is that it lets you test ideas easily in practice… So far its simple things, like vesicles and heart valves. But with the help of stem cells the scientific world is nearing the possibility of printing a liver.”
