Leapfrogs, a project that provides students with financial support to develop their business ideas, is open for application. The sum awarded corresponds roughly to the students CSN (SU) level, being 27 000 SEK (roughly € 3 000) for the period of 3 months. The goal is to enable students to work on their own ideas during the summer break, instead of having to take a summer-job. An information meeting regarding the grant application and opportunity to meet former Leapfrogrs will be provided on February 19th at AF-Borgen in Lund.

Leapfrogs was launched as a pilot project back in 2012 with the support from the universities in Skåne and Blekinge and through facilitation of LU Open. Since its start Leapfrogs has undergone some transformation and further development in 2013. A total of 84 checks has been distributed to students from Lund University, Malmö, BTH, SLU Alnarp and Kristianstad University.

2014 starts the third round of Leapfrogs with a deadline for application on March 31st. In order to be eligible to the project, you have to be a student at one of the Universities in southern Sweden and have a Swedish social security number. You can read more about the requirements here. If you want to know more about how to apply, guidelines are available on their website.
