Do you identify yourself as a woman? Are you interested in entrepreneurship, technology and digital media? If the answer is yes, then this experience is just for you.
7th unconference is organized by Geek Girl Meetup and this year event is focusing on the technology field with the “Make IT happen“ as a topic of the meeting. It is open for internationals, so if you are not fluent in Swedish, do not let it stop you, just talk with other participants in English.
Geek Girl Meetup was established by Heidi Harman and Andie Nordgren in 2008 with purpose to create a place where woman can present their skills within the technology background and meet like-minded people with similar interests.
Unconference format means that every participant is welcome to hold a workshop (with the time range of 50 minutes) or a talk (with the time range of 20 minutes). There will be a huge amount of sessions presented in the various topics within the technology field. For instance, you can hear about start-ups, programming, media and much more. If you feel that presentation is not your strong skill, you can help in other ways such as moderating or serving coffee.
In order to attend, you have to purchase a ticket here. which includes the whole day of sessions, workshops, activities and opportunity to meet Geek Girls who share the same interests as you. The price of the ticket also covers lunch so you can focus entirely on the event.
