Danish based Nordic Consumer Portals, also known as NoCoPo, has launched the insurance aggregation platform Comparo, which collects car insurance prices from more than 20 companies instantly.

The company has recently received a seed round investment from the venture capital firm Northcap and it’s founders. This is Northcap’s 6th investment in the past 4 month. The founders, with a past at Zapera which was aquired by YouGov in 2007, for more then € 16 Million.

Nordic Consumer Portals’ Comparo service is aimed at consumers who can collect and compare prices on car insurances quickly.

”Consumers have a hard time comparing insurance prices and terms. This is the problem we solve. We start off with car insurances and will later on add other insurance categories. It is an advantage for the consumers and for the insurance companies that are willing to compete on prices and terms”, says Lars Lund-Nielsen, CEO in Nordic Consumer Portals.

The exact amount invested has not been disclosed, but according to sources it is in the “double million DKK digits” range.
