Swedish Student Championship in Entrepreneurship, SMIE 2013, is an annual event for university students in Sweden where they have a chance to present their business ideas and compete for a prize. The event is organized by FENA, a nonprofit organization for students with an interest in entrepreneurship. The goal of SMIE 2013 is to bring young entrepreneurs together, help them build useful connections and inspire to pursue their ideas. According to the founder of Swedish Student Championship in Entrepreneurship, Ida Thoren,

SMIE is build upon a notion that it should be easy to start a business. So this is a day that should inspire people to do so. It stands for simplicity, inspiration and creativity.

The event has four major parts to it: competition with a prize that will help run the business in the future, a lecture on how to grow ideas, a workshop that will provide help and advice on how to run a company, and a network mingle with young entrepreneurs and business representatives.
