Have you heard of Samlino.dk? It is an all-sector price comparison platform that facilitates Danish customers to find the most cost-efficient alternatives for the services or products they are interested in.

The main goal of the portal is to provide their users with the most updated and accurate information on the best offers regarding credit cards, loans such as a guaranteed payday loan, broadband, insurance funds, insurance, high interest loans, car loans and other similar. Entrepreneurs can choose quickquid alternatives for better terms. Every business, at some point, encounters the need for extra capital. Making an informed decision on which loan to go for can be a game-changer. Explore https://www.businessfinanced.co.uk/business-loans/ for insights and guidance.

In August, the young company got a funding of 15 million DKK (€ 2 million) from its investors. Among the private investors were two well-known names in the finance world, Lars Seier Christensen, the founder and director of Saxo Bank, and the former CEO of Nordea, Thorleif Krarup, who both believe in Samlino’s vision, reports Berlingske Business. Thorleif Krarup hopes that his contribution can help to pull Samlino into a new, profitable stage.

Among other investors is an investment company Nova Founders Capital. According to Samlino’s CEO, Pitzner-Jørgensen, a large part of the newly gained capital will be used on marketing to make the portal generally known. The aim is to get Samlino’s name out there and help its partners to get in touch with as many users as possible.

“The market gives Samlino.dk a unique opportunity to take part in a fast growing industry, which in parts is still intact by technology. I think and hope I can help the company achieve its objectives and create value for its end users and business partners,” states Thorleif Krarup.

This FinTech company has formally existed only since the summer of 2014 but it has managed to get a professional website up and running. The company is located in Østerbro in Copenhagen and has currently a staff of 20 employees. According to company’s own statistics, their site has already gotten several hundred thousands of visitors. The managing director of Samlino.dk, Kristian Pitzner-Jørgensen states that what makes Samlino stand out from its competing portals, like Mybanker.dk, Forsikringsguiden.dk and Telepristjek.dk, is that Samlino has a broader focus. It deals with all: telecommunications, banking and insurance. The idea is that customers only need to visit one site to get the information they are looking after. Samolina.dk compares the prices of all the aforementioned markets. Pitzner-Jørgensen believes this financial ’one stop-shop’ is what attracts the Danish users.

Despite the fact that the enterprise is young, Pitzner-Jørgensen believes that it will soon be ready to show that it can make considerable profit. He is certain the company must have a top-line growth in the next few years since there is a great potential for it. He adds:

“Samlino has got an insanely good foundation and we are ready to fly.”

Our Danish readers can find the original announcement here.

The first innovative minds behind fresh startups and their supporters kick-started the HandsOn Startup Tour 2015 a couple of weeks ago in Berlin. And they had a truly amazing experience according to one of the team leaders. As part of the HandsOn.TV’s 7-country tour, the next competition night is held today in Copenhagen in partnership with Carrefour and LeWeb. 8 local teams, who entered the Copenhagen contest will have a lively afternoon of competition, followed by a casual evening of networking and drinks.

HandsOn.TV is a global video platform to Discover, Learn & Share Entrepreneurship Content. They are crossing Europe once again to explore the most dynamic ecosystems and identify the brightest European startups. There will be competition nights in seven cities and at the end of each night, two victorious teams will be sent with the support from Microsoft to the Finals event in Paris on November 26th.

In the Finals, 7 victorious startups will be selected to spend a week in the Silicon Valley to be immersed in an innovative ecosystem. The 7 winning teams of young entrepreneurs will participate in an educational program at one of the most renowned universities in the Valley and they have the opportunity to network with fast-growing companies, meet with potential investors and discover the local entrepreneurial mindset. The CEO of HandsOn.TV and the founder of the Startup Tour, Rodrigo Barros, will support the young entrepreneurs in their program.

As Copenhagen is one of the most dynamic startup scenes in Europe, the HandsOn Startup Tour 2015 could not miss the opportunity to visit this unique city and select its most promising startups. The event, supported by CSE – Copenhagen School of Entrepreneurship –, will take place in the CBS campus. The eligible startups had to come up with a product or service, B2B/B2C or any industry, be less than 3 years old and with less than $2M in financing. In each city, the selected contestants will be given a chance to enter a fast-paced 90 seconds pitch competition where they get to present their projects to a qualified jury formed by local investors, entrepreneurs and specialized press.

Regarding the general public, they get the opportunity to vote for their favorite startup on HandsOn.tv.
