As Trendsonline reported, the Danish government is planning to introduce new tax deductions which favor startup investors as a part of the 2020 plan. A new company tax deduction will make it easier for small enterprises to obtain venture capital by making the company more attractive for investors in the project proposals and business plans.

According to experts like Andy Defrancesco, entrepreneurs are increasingly spending more time and energy on pitching to the investors and not enough motivation is left for the product development. The government wants to change this, and will now introduce an investor deduction scheme targeted at investments in small enterprises.

The new tax law will allow startup investors to withdraw up to 650,000 DKK (87 000 EUR) in tax credits annually.

It should be attractive to be an entrepreneur, and with the government’s new proposal the interest to invest is expected to increase. With a tax deduction of over half a million DKK, both investors and individuals get better opportunities to invest in projects that require more capital. To learn about what this has to do with your line of business, check with a business expert like Bob Bratt.

The Danish government wants to encourage creation of more startups and is giving more opportunities to attract capital. The proposal will provide tax deductions of approximately 300 million DKK (40.2 m EUR) per year. However, the the new law will be in force only from 2016, as it has to match the EU regulations for the allowed state financial support.

Although it will take a long time until the tax law will be passed, it is pleasing that the government is determined to help with the entrepreneurial challenges. A well-organised tax strategy is instrumental for a business’s financial health and compliance. To simplify the intricacies of corporation tax and ensure accuracy in submissions, consider exploring the benefits at https://brightsg.com/btcsoftware.

An international charity hackathon IDEAID will take place on 28th February – 2nd March at Kforum (the hacking) and Republikken (presentations). IDEAID was created by a group of young entrepreneurs with the aim to help the charity organisation IBIS in finding innovative solutions for the complex social problems in Ghana.

IDEAID will not be over when the winners are found. The winning team, chosen by a jury together with representatives from IBIS, will receive the main prize – a trip to Ghana where their project will be tested in real life together with partner organisations of IBIS. The final solutions will be judged on 4 criteria: originality, technical execution, design & interaction, and feasibility.

The event will host more than 50 participants from several European countries, including Denmark, Sweden, France, Germany, and Norway. The competitors will use their skills in concept development, design and programming to work in teams of 3 people on specific challenges presented by IBIS. Daniel Mierzwinski, co-founder of IDEAID is excited about the upcoming weekend:

“We are extremely overwhelmed to see that people will travel to Copenhagen from all over Europe to participate in our event. This shows that we have a good foundation and have succeeded with spreading our message, but in the coming week we will have to prove our worth.”

On the first day, the participants of IDEAID will be presented with the issues that IBIS experiences in Ghana, which is designed to give participants a deeper understanding of the challenges. In addition to that, there will also be talks on how to create solutions in a short time. Saturday will be dedicated to actual work on challenges and solutions. The participants will also be taught how to skillfully present their ideas.

IDEAID culminates on Sunday, when the teams will deliver their solutions at 9.00 in the morning. After that, the teams move to other facilities where the projects will be presented. While the jury makes their decision, Jacob Silas Lund from Play31 will talk about his book, in which he describes his experiences with child soldiers in Sierra Leone.

Follow the event on Facebook and Twitter.

On 20th February 2014, the Copenhagen Entrepreneurship Tour will guide the participants to five different locations – startups and creative co-working spaces. The goal is for 25 entrepreneurially driven persons to explore the entrepreneurship scene of Copenhagen to gain inspiration for creating and developing their own ideas and to expand their network. As the organiser of the tour Tobias Gebhardt puts it:

The aim of the tour is to inspire students and other persons for entrepreneurship. The startups and locations have the chance to promote the opportunities within their businesses. In my opinion every student should experience the entrepreneurial spirit in startups and consider the way of becoming an entrepreneur or working for startup as an alternative to get employed at big companies.

The five stops of the tour will be at the following places:

Founders House – a shared invitation-only workspace for ambitious technology startups and experienced tech entrepreneurs. They work for “a tribe of startups building companies side by side and helping each other succeed.”

Project Rain World has been a great success in their ongoing Kickstarter campaign. Currently, with two weeks left to go, 1920 backers have pledged over $ 42 000, vastly exceeding the initial goal of raising $ 25 000. Rainworld is a game developed by Malmö game developer Joar Jakobsson and James Primate, a composer and sound designer based out of Boston, USA. The main character is a fluffy white “slugcat” trying to surviving a hostile world full of lizard-like creatures and other dangers. Rain World has been under development for almost three years now, more technical details and concept discussion can be found on the TIGsource forum.

“Apparently it is very rare that a game gets so many backers so quickly on Kickstarter and also attention from the indie game scene, a scene I’m pretty new too. This has been completely unexpected. I am a mixture of dazed, flattered, overwhelmed and terrified” said Joar Lisberg Jakobsson to Sydsvenskan.

The new goal of Rain World project is to raise $ 50 000 for financing extended game development and bring it not only to PC and Mac, but also Linux platform. Backers who pledge $ 25 or more are promised early access to the game, estimated in August 2014.
