Rapidus reports that Spiideo, the Malmö-based sports video and analytics company, has reached a €105 million (SEK 1.2 billion) valuation in its latest funding round, according to newly registered documents with the Swedish Companies Registration Office (Bolagsverket).

The fresh capital injection, amounting to a small round of €2 million (SEK 23 million), is described as a strategic move to strengthen financial flexibility and allow key investors to increase their stakes, a modest sum compared to the company’s €20 million (SEK 230 million) funding round the company did two years ago.

Founded as a training analysis tool, Spiideo has evolved into a comprehensive video and data platform for sports venues, individual clubs, and entire leagues, with football and ice hockey as its largest markets.

Today, the company’s AI-powered camera systems and analytics software, including VAR (Video Assistant Referee) support, are deployed in 10,000 arenas across 20 different sports worldwide.

Spiideo’s rapid growth reflects its shift from selling to individual teams to partnering with entire leagues, a strategy that has fueled its expansion. The company has seen its revenue soar from €4.4 million (SEK 50 million) to an estimated €22 million (SEK 250 million) in 2025. Its largest market, the U.S., now accounts for as much revenue as the rest of the world combined, marking a significant shift from its early focus on European clients.

In a world where software development has been democratized by no-code platforms and AI tools, hardware innovation has remained stubbornly complex – until now. Atech, a groundbreaking AI hardware startup with roots in both Stockholm and the Øresund region, has raised a pre-seed round from top-tier investors, including Nordic Makers, Emblem, Lovable, Sequoia Scout Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz Scout Fund (A16z).

The company is on a mission to make hardware development as accessible as building a web app, removing one of tech’s highest barriers to entry.

Founded by Vladimir Baran (CCO), Tomas Erik Harmer (CEO), and David Stålmarck (CTO), Atech is tackling a long-standing problem: hardware development has traditionally required years of specialized expertise or significant investment in engineering talent. This barrier has kept countless innovations on paper, limiting hardware creation to a small group of experts.

“We are making it as easy to build hardware as it is to build software. It’s already used by companies and individuals to prototype and build hardware faster.”

said David Stålmarck, co-founder

While software development has seen a democratization revolution over the past decade, with tools like no-code platforms and AI assistants, hardware has lagged behind. Atech is planning on changing that by introducing “vibe-engineering” for hardware. Just as modern AI tools allow non-developers to create software, Atech enables users to describe a hardware concept in natural language and receive a working prototype in minutes, with all the underlying technical complexity handled by the platform.

”I am seeing the same patterns Lovable had, but for hardware. I’m really excited to see Atech’s journey. The team is one of a kind,”

shared Anton Osika, CEO of Lovable.

In a world where drones are becoming both a tool and a threat, Raven Tech, a startup based in Ängelholm, is pioneering a solution to autonomously capture intruding drones. The company has secured its first commercial customers, marking a significant step forward in drone security and autonomous defense technology.

Raven Tech’s system combines detection, autonomous flight, and net-based capture to neutralize unauthorized drones. Once an intruder is detected, the system deploys a drone to intercept and safely transport the rogue drone to a designated location. This innovation is already attracting attention from industries where security is paramount.

Rapidus reports the startup’s first commercial customer is a Swedish port operator, which will install the system to secure a terminal handling hazardous goods. According to Magnus Jansson, Raven Tech’s CTO and co-founder, the first delivery is scheduled for June 2026. The aim is to sell 100 systems in the next 12 month.

With a price tag reported to be around €45,000 for the system and a two-year license, Raven Tech is positioning itself as an alternative in autonomous drone security solutions.

Raven Tech is founded by Magnus Jansson, who has a long experience in visual startups such as Briskeye and Gamecam, and Leo Jansson, a former officer in the Swedish Air Force. The startups has been quietly developing its technology since 2020. The system has undergone rigorous testing in collaboration with a Nordic defense actor and an energy company.

Copenhagen-based spektr, a startup pioneering AI-driven compliance infrastructure for financial services, has announced a € 17 million Series A funding round led by NEA, with participation from Northzone, Seedcamp, and PSV Tech. The investment will fuel the expansion of spektr’s AI platform and accelerate its global adoption among banks and fintechs, marking a significant milestone for the Nordic fintech ecosystem.

Compliance teams in financial institutions have long grappled with the tedious, time-consuming tasks of KYC (Know Your Customer) and KYB (Know Your Business) processes. Despite advancements in compliance technology, analysts still spend hours manually reviewing documents, mapping ownership structures, and writing risk assessments.

spektr is transforming this landscape with its platform of specialized AI agents that automate the heavy lifting of compliance reviews. These agents research companies, interpret information, verify business activities, and generate structured risk assessments-tasks that previously took analysts hours, now completed in minutes.

“Compliance technology has mostly focused on workflow and data collection. But the real bottleneck has always been the work itself – analysts researching companies, interpreting information, and documenting decisions. spektr automates those tasks with AI agents designed specifically for KYC and KYB compliance, ”

said Mikkel Skarnager, CEO and co-founder of spektr.

Nordic Innovation, Global Impact

spektr’s platform enables financial institutions to design custom onboarding and monitoring processes, deploying AI agents to automate workflows at scale. The company’s technology is already in use by global institutions such as Pleo, Santander Leasing, Mercuryo, Phantom, and Monta.

“Financial institutions are under constant pressure to do more compliance work with fewer resources. spektr is tackling the most manual part of compliance operations in financial services. Their approach has the potential to redefine how compliance operations are run.”

said Luke Pappas, Partner at NEA

With the new funding, spektr plans to further develop its AI platform and expand its team, with a focus on scaling its solutions across Europe and beyond.

European retailers expanding internationally face a rapidly growing regulatory burden. Every product must comply with labelling rules, safety documentation and traceability requirements across dozens of markets – a process that today involves manual checks, consultants and weeks of work for every product launch. Copenhagen-based startup Complir is building an AI platform that automates the entire workflow. The company has now been accepted into Y Combinator, the Silicon Valley accelerator behind companies like Stripe, Airbnb and Dropbox.

Prior to its acceptance into Y Combinator, Complir had already proven its commercial viability. Over the past six months, the company has experienced 45% month-on-month growth and recently opened an office in France as part of its European expansion. In December 2025, the company raised €1.7 million in pre-seed funding at a post-money valuation of €6.8 million. The round was led by Vendep Capital with participation from Likeminded, Plug and Play, F-Log Ventures and a strong group of business angels from the retail industry and tech startup scene – including former Coop Group CEO Kraen Østergaard Nielsen, Coop Trading chairman and GS1 board member Per Thau, and Neil S. W. Murray from The Nordic Web Ventures.

With its acceptance into Y Combinator, Complir now accelerates its growth with access to Silicon Valley’s most connected network of investors, founders and tech companies.

From Flying Tiger Copenhagen to Silicon Valley

Complir is not a typical startup story. The company was founded in Copenhagen in 2024 by Gustav Bang and Tine Kühnel, born out of a concrete problem at Flying Tiger Copenhagen – one of retail’s most complex operators, managing over 500 new products per month across 44 markets while facing increasing EU requirements around product compliance and traceability.

Rather than building a product in a vacuum, Complir gained full access to Flying Tiger Copenhagen’s organisation and developed its AI-driven compliance platform in close collaboration with one of retail’s most demanding operators. The result was a solution that was battle-tested from day one – and a reference brand that opened doors internationally.

“We have proven that our solution works inside some of Europe’s most complex retail organisations. YC now gives us the tools and the network to prove the same to the rest of the world – and to do it faster than we could alone,”

says Gustav Bang, CEO of Complir.

For Complir, acceptance into YC means access to something that is hard to buy: credibility and a network in the US market from day one. The YC stamp of approval is, in Silicon Valley and among global investors, a mark of quality that opens doors that would otherwise take years to knock on.

Paraglide, a Malmö–based startup building AI agents for accounts receivable, has reportedly raised € 4.2 million in Seed funding.

The round was co-led by Bessemer Venture Partners and DN Capital, with participation from Born Capital, The Nordic Web Ventures and business angels such as GetAccepts co-founder Samir Smajic.

“I was a CFO myself for five years previously before going into venture […] We had thousands and thousands of customers, and we would have several people in my team that were basically just replying to queries and chasing people all day.”

said Rasmus Areskoug

Founded by Rasmus Areskoug and Andreas Åström, both with a background at GetAccept, Paraglide provides a platform to automate and optimize accounts receivable processes (AR).

“Proud moment for me. Watching former teammates take what they learned, add their own ideas, and turn it into something new is incredibly rewarding as a founder. Hopefully some of what we learned and created together will now be fueling their growth going forward.”

says Samir Smajic

Designed for high-volume B2B finance teams, Paraglide is building intelligent agents that automate two-way billing communication across the AR lifecycle, responding to customers’ billing questions, chasing overdue invoices, and taking action across the financial stack to reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve cash flow.

“Paraglide AI has helped us automate replies to customer invoice questions in the finance inbox, which means faster payments and much less manual work and a more efficient DSO process. In a growing company, this matters a lot.”

While Sweden’s heat pump giants like Nibe struggle with stagnant growth and plummeting stock prices, and rival Aira grapples with layoffs and leadership turmoil, Qvantum, the Skåne-based modular heat pump platform, is bucking the trend.

The company, headquartered in Åstorp, has recently been reported to have secured € 19 million (SEK 220 million) in funding, primarily from existing investors, including Thomas von Koch (former EQT CEO) and the IMAS Foundation, according to data registered with Bolagsverket and confirmed to Rapidus.

“What’s so incredible for us is that we succeeded at scale. We secured orders in multiple European cities, and the pumps started being installed, including in London,”

says Fredrik Rosenqvist, founder and CEO of Qvantum to Rapidus.

This month Qvantum announced that they have reached an agreement with German climatetech startup 1KOMMA5° to enable home energy systems in Sweden. Qvantum’s next-generation heat pumps works with 1KOMMA5°’s Heartbeat AI platform, an intelligent optimization system that dynamically coordinates heating, solar power, battery storage, and EV charging.

This partnership transforms heat pumps from standalone devices into active components of a connected home energy ecosystem, enabling them to respond in real time to electricity prices, grid signals, and renewable energy availability.

“Heat pumps will play an increasingly central role in the future energy system, not just as sources of heat, but as flexible assets that can support the electricity grid. This partnership allows us to connect all kinds of heat pumps into our virtual power plant – lowering energy costs for homeowners and taking pressure off the grid,”

says David Sätterman, CEO of 1KOMMA5° Sweden and Denmark

With 60% of Swedish households already using heat pumps, the collaboration is poised to lower energy costs for homeowners while enhancing grid stability. By leveraging AI-driven automation heating aligns with cheaper, cleaner, and more abundant energy sources, setting a new benchmark for intelligent, fossil-free residential energy systems.

“Future energy systems require connected, intelligent solutions. With the partnership together with 1KOMMA5° we ensure that heating can interact seamlessly with solar power, batteries, EV charging, and the electricity grid. This gives homeowners a system that is ready for tomorrow’s energy landscape,”

says Fredrik Rosenqvist, CEO of Qvantum

Qvantum is now set to further expand its production and sales, operating a factory in Åstorp and another in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. The company currently has operations in seven European countries and is represented in a total of 17 countries across Europe.

The Copenhagen based app, originally launched in 2014 as Heap and became a viral party app with 500,000 users across Scandinavia and the U.S., was backed by high-profile investors like Logan Paul and Steve Aoki, has since pivoted to become HeapsGo, a B2B white-label software platform for restaurant chains.

This strategic transformation has now culminated in its acquisition by European software group Everfield for a “high double-digit million” sum, as announced in a company press release.

Today HeapsGo offers a scalable, custom branded digital platform that helps restaurant chains manage ordering, customer engagement, and in-store operations. The company serves customers primarily in Denmark, with a growing presence in the DACH region, and supports restaurant brands including Jagger, Bone’s, Wedo, OAKBERRY and OLIOLI.

The HeapsGo founding team, led by Niels Hangaard (CEO), Jens Grud (CTO), and Frederik Bjerager Christiansen (CCO), will remain in place, continuing to support customers and further develop the platform as part of Everfield.

“We’re excited to continue working with our great customers and building the product that can help them win in the future. Now, we can speed up the process towards our long-term vision with access to new competencies, capital and a broad network across Europe.”

says Niels Hangaard

HeapsGo’s software suite delivers a fully branded webshop, native iOS and Android apps, self-service kiosks, in-store ordering tablets, and POS integrations. The solution also supports integrations with delivery partners such as Wolt and Foodora, alongside tools for dynamic menu management, marketing automation, kitchen display systems (KDS), and real-time analytics.

Supporting modules enable direct customer communication, delivery fleet integration, and advanced loyalty functionality, allowing restaurant operators to manage the full customer journey across digital and physical touchpoints within a single setup.

“With HeapsGo being our second acquisition in the Nordics, we continue to see strong long- term potential in the region. HeapsGo has built a robust, all-in-one digital platform that solves complex operational needs of restaurant chains. It fits naturally within our Hospitality & Leisure vertical and supports our strategy of investing in payment-enabled software platforms,”

says Lorenz Fuglsang, Investment Lead (Nordics) at Everfield.
