]]> The 2013 Red Herring Europe 100 finalists have been released. On the list are a large selection of different startups, and no less then 15 from our region. As usual the startups are in different categories: internet, mobile and software being the most frequent ones.

The following startups from the Copenhagen region made it:

Finalists from earlier years from this region inlude: Atosho, Bownty and Octoshape.
With 15 startups on the top 100 it shows the potential of this region. 15 is also more then the 13 startups from the Stockholm region that are on the list!

]]> As we mentioned earlier, the Europas award is soon, and they have now presented their shortlit. The shortlist are the final 200 candidates for the awards, chosen from the more then 1000 nominated. The finalist will now be chosen by the jury, and presented at the award in Berlin the 22nd of january.

From the region the following companies made it to the shortlist:

Best Social, Mobile or Apps Startup – here two of the nominated startups are from the region:

Best European Startup Accelerator/Incubator

Best Gaming or Social Games Startup

Best Exit of 2012

And also in the “Best Nordic Startup” category two of the nominated are from this region:
