]]> During Almedalen, Einride unveiled their full-scale prototype of the T-pod, the world’s first completely emission-free, road-based transportation system.

One of the co-founders and COO of Einride, Filip Lilja, is from Malmö, but the company is located in Gothenburg. He tells us that they worked on the T-pod for around one year.

“The first distance on main roads will be between Helsingborg and Gothenburg. If it would get into any diffuculties during the way we have something we could compare with a call center where we can drive it remotely”, says Filip Lilja.

The T-pod will be able to carry 15 standard pallets and drive for 200 kilometers before it needs to be charged again. This is one step on the way to minimize the negative environmental impact of the transportation industry.
