We track over 500 startups in this region, and of these over 100 have women founders or co-founders that we know about. So on this day, we wanted to highlight 25 interesting startups, co-founded by women, to watch out for in 2025.

This list consists of us and external advisors who highlighted different startups. It is not an objective list, but rather based on personal insights and who we believe will have an interesting 2025.

The list is of both younger startups and more established scale-ups, and in different fields – from AI startups to those focusing on food or nutrition, to e-commerce. One thing is clear – there are definitely a lot of interesting startups building great products in this region.

Della8: Crafting fashion-forward and functional products tailored to modern lifestyles. Co-founded by Emelie Nilsson Sträng. (Marketplace)

EasySize: Helping online shoppers find the perfect fit, reducing returns, and elevating the shopping experience. Founded by Gulnaz Khusainova. (E-commerce, SaaS)

Emission Twin: Developing technologies to monitor and reduce emissions, contributing to a greener future. Their software unites the ecosystem to help companies reach their climate goals. Co-founded by Tove Nilstun. (Climate, SaaS)

Inimini: Transforming the second-hand market for children’s clothing with a convenient online platform. Their goal is to increase the use of second-hand children’s clothing by making it easy for customers to find what they are looking for. Founded by Josefin Runquist and Maja Vallinder. Matr Foods: Uses the art of traditional fungi fermentation on a mix of Nordic organic vegetables, legumes and grains to create a new healthy plant ingredient rich with deep umami flavour and a juicy tender bite. Co-founded by Randi Wahlsten. (Food, Climate)

Miniferrum: Creating innovative iron supplements for children and women, based entirely on heme iron. Co-founded by Marlén Melander. (Food)

Najell: Designing innovative baby products that combine functionality with stylish design. Co-founded by Freja Najafi Kristensen. (E-commerce, Clothing)

NitroVolt: Offers a clean, green, and local ammonia production system that gives power to the individual farmer over their own nitrogen-based fertilizer needs. The technology relies on lithium-mediated ammonia synthesis reactor, called Nitrolyzer. Co-founded by Suzanne Zamany Andersen. (Climate)

Founded in 2020 by Josefin Runquist and Maja Vallinder, Inimini buys and sells used children’s clothing, offering a convenient service that includes picking up items from sellers’ doorsteps. The clothes are then sorted into stylish sets and photographed to mimic the shopping experience of new clothing stores.

“It feels great to have secured this funding. Now we can accelerate our operations again. Previously, our finances were a bit strained, and we had to pull the handbrake,”

said Josefin Runquist, co-founder of Inimini, to Rapidus.

Inimini currently employs 20 people, with offices and warehouses located in Malmö, having recently taken over Allers old premises.

Expanding Storage and Technology

The new funds will primarily be used to expand Inimini’s warehouse capacity, allowing the company to meet growing demand and offer customers a wider selection of products. Additionally, Inimini plans to develop its technology offerings, particularly in AI-driven photography, to streamline the process of listing new products on its website.

With the latest investment, Rapidus reports Inimini now has twelve shareholders, including the founding duo, who remain the majority owners with a 53% stake.

Inimini aims to simplify second-hand shopping and make it profitable through technological solutions, including AI-driven image editing and automated pricing. Over the past year, the company has increased its revenue from € 65.000 to €145.000, with a projected growth to € 350.000 for the current year.

On the show Inimini received several investment offers, but they ultimately chose the investor alliance, which included investors such as Lena Apler, Christian von Koenigsegg, Jonas Tellander, and Shervin Razani. This decision resulted in a € 260.000 investment for a € 1,3 million (SEK 15 million valuation) of the company.

The investment will be used to further develop their technical products, expand marketing efforts, and invest in a new warehouse to handle the increasing volume of children’s clothing.

And the team got not just all the investors at the show interested – they also got a lot of interest from viewers when the show was aired!

“The site crashed, which is a nightmare for all e-commerce businesses who know that every second is so important. But we also see it positive that we had 17,000 people per minute on the site!”

said Josefin Runquist

Despite operating in sectors that could be perceived as female-dominated, such as second-hand, children, and e-commerce, Inimini had primarily attracted male investors until now. With Lena Apler joining as an investor, the company welcomes its first female investor.
