On the 31st of October 2018 the 16th edition of the Nordic Venture Forum took place in Copenhagen. The event focuses on linking startups from different sectors to potential investors from all over Europe through its concept based program. Many venture investors and 60 startups attended, and 13 winners were announced. According to OECD, the Nordic Region consistently ranks the highest as the most entreprenurial region in Europe, and the Nordic Venture Forum has the aim of showcasing companies from several sectors including Software, Internet of Things, FinTech, Cleantech, Digital Health, Medtech, Life Sciences and Food.

Liselotte Hohwy Stokholm, CEO of Væksthus Capital Region, says:

”Nordic Venture Forum is one of the strongest events in funding. The screening process means that only the best are involved, and that is why there are so many foreign investors to see what we can in Denmark.”

Nordic Venture Forum announced its this year winners

On the 8th of November 2016 Copenhagen was welcoming the 14th edition of the Nordic Venture Forum (NVF). The event that took place at the Radisson SAS Falconer Hotel again proved to be a success.

Nordic Venture Forum is the most prestigious matchmaking event between tech-companies and investors in the Nordic region. Every year the event showcases the companies with the highest potential from the following sectors: Fintech, Technology, Internet of Things, Cleantech, Healthtech, Life Sciences, Food.

Over the years, the Forum has established itself as the event that best promotes the innovative, attractive and rewarding investment environment of the Nordic and Baltic countries. Thereby, the large number of participants from both industry experts, investors and promising companies arouses significant international attention. As Dorte Weine, the coordinator of the Nordic Venture Forum states:

“The event is an amazing opportunity for foreign investors to find promising for envestment companies in the Nordic region.”

Employment and Integration Minister Anna Mee Allerslev also points to the importance of events like Nordic Venture Forum:

“Nordic Venture Forum is a great event that links companies with investors. It is great that such event takes place in Copenhagen! As we hope the companies will settle in Copenhagen where we propose highly skilled workforce and good conditions for entrepreneurs.”

What is more, the Forum has established an impressive history with about 60 percent of the tech-companies receiving investments following the event. As one of this year winners admits the significance of the event:

“For startup it is extremely important to participate in the events such as the Nordic Venture Forum as it is an amazing opportunity to find interested investors.”

This year the Forum was a great success with more than 70 companies participated in the event. By the end of the Forum announced 19 winners. Among them Danish, Swedish and Finish startups with fresh ideas that might shape our future.
