Copenhagen-based fintech startup Wolfpack announced recently that they had secured about € 1 million in seed funding to enhance its expense management platform, backed by a group of experienced business angels.

The startup, which streamlines expense management by consolidating invoices, company cards, and reimbursements into a single system, plans to use the funds to enhance its platform and roll out new features.

Co-founder Werner Valeur commented on the challenges they faced raising funds from traditional VCs

“We approached all the established VCs, and they all said it was a good idea, but we didn’t fit their classic Excel model. And we don’t.”

Werner said in a comment on the announcement

Despite this, Valour expressed his satisfaction with the support from business angels:

“They chose Wolfpack, my team, and me, believing in something bigger than what meets the eye.”

The new funding will enable Wolfpack to introduce enhanced workflows, integrated payments, and support for international transfers, making it easier for businesses to manage their expenses in a more secure and efficient way.
