Lightpost One, a Danish AI startup founded by serial entrepreneur and AI pioneer Casper Wilstrup, has secured a fresh capital injection from PSV Tech. The investment, part of PSV Tech’s newly launched €70 million Fund II, aims to strengthen the Nordic region’s position as a technological powerhouse.

Lightpost One is developing cutting-edge “vibe coding” technology, an AI solution that repurposes and rewrites existing software code rather than building new systems from scratch. The technology targets a global market of over 200 million websites and more than 27 million active developers, within an industry valued at $70.6 billion.

Vibe coding holds significant growth potential in the development of advanced software applications, as it accelerates innovation and reduces costs. While Swedish competitor Lovable builds software from scratch using thousands of user prompts, Lightpost One combines the reuse of existing functionality with the generation of new code. This approach makes the Danish company particularly competitive, according to industry experts.

“I’ve built many startups, but paradigm shifts like this are rare. I still remember the PC revolution in my childhood, the internet at university, and supercomputing in my first startup. AI could be the wildest of them all. We have a strong team and the perfect timing to create a future where software adapts to humans, not the other way around.”

says Casper Wilstrup, founder and CEO of Lightpost One

With the new funding, Casper, one of Europe’s most experienced AI profiles, plans to further develop and scale the technology into new markets. Lightpost One is already in discussions with several potential investors who share the belief that the Danish startup can play a key role in the next wave of AI-driven software development.

“Europe is leading the way in vibe coding. Lightpost One fits perfectly into an environment where Europe, contrary to popular belief, is at the forefront. It’s a natural extension of the fact that nearly all of the world’s major programming languages were invented in Europe. We are proud to invest in Casper, one of the Nordic region’s leading AI experts.”

says Helle Uth, co-founder and General Partner at PSV Tech

The team behind Lightpost One is spread across Europe and includes leading figures from the Niels Bohr Institute, as well as experts in deep tech, game development, and growth hacking.

PSV Tech is backing Lightpost One’s pre-seed round of € 1 million, marking the first investment from its newly launched Fund II. The startup’s innovative approach and strong leadership position it as a frontrunner in the evolving landscape of AI-powered software development.
