Scaleup Finance, a Danish fintech company, has secured € 3,5 Million (26 million DKK) in funding from a consortium of international investors to launch Nume, an AI-driven Chief Financial Officer (CFO) platform. The solution is designed to provide small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with advanced financial insights, a resource previously out of reach for many businesses.
Among the investors are both existing and new investors: The round was led by a syndicate of European investors including Mainset (UK), Circlerock (Ireland), North Ventures (Denmark), Crowberry (Iceland), Inveready (Spain), and SeedX (Liechtenstein), alongside angels such as former Google UK Managing Director Dan Cobley, and Kræn Østergaard Nielsen, former CEO of Coop Denmark.
“Nearly 50 million SMEs worldwide operate without a proper finance function, relying on spreadsheets and gut feeling instead of financial leadership. With Nume, we’re giving them the CFO they’ve always needed, but never been able to afford,”
says Alexander Sonne Wulff, CEO
Over the past year, Nume has been tested in private beta with a select group of companies, refining its capabilities in real-world conditions. Already, more than 2,500 companies from 80 countries have signed up for the launch.
“Nume enables every business to access something that was previously only available to the largest. It’s a global opportunity, and with a strong founder team that has already proven they can build and scale, we see Nume as the future standard for how SMEs around the world run their business,”
says Mikkel Rørvig, Partner at North Ventures.
