This is a post from Foo Café, the event space that over the years has had a quest posts here.

For more than a decade, Foo Café has been an open meeting place for tech in the region. We have hosted thousands of events – for developers, children learning to code, teachers, AI enthusiasts, senior programmers, and curious beginners. All free. All open. All driven by a simple idea: that knowledge should be shared.

We are now facing a generational transition.

Micke, who has run Foo Café for many years, is retiring. At the same time, our funding conditions are changing. That’s why we are now looking for the right long-term solution for the next phase in Foo Café’s story.

We are seeking a new principal organization or partner to carry the initiative forward – in the same spirit or in a further developed form. This could be a company, an organization, a foundation, or another actor that sees the value of an established tech community with more than 9,000 people in its network and a well-proven event model.

Do you know someone who would be a good fit to take this forward?

We have prepared a short summary of the organization and the opportunities ahead that you are very welcome to share. Get in touch and we will send it to you, or simply reply to this email if you would like to know more.

Foo Café has always been built on the community.

Perhaps it is the community that will help us find the next chapter.
