Copenhagen-based D2C brand Scandinavian Biolabs has raised €4 million in a funding round led by Auréa Group, joining existing investor Blazar Capital, reports EU-startups.
Founded in 2020, Scandinavian Biolabs has established itself as a leader in non-invasive, science-backed hair-loss solutions, with their Bio-Pilixin Activation Serum gaining significant popularity.
“We’ve built a strong foundation with our innovative products and proven that if we can provide our customers value and results, we will also have a strong business. We are excited to be joined by our new investors who can help us leapfrog our growth through their experience and know-how.”
says Anders Reckendorff, CEO and Co-Founder
With over 140,000 customers the startup plans to use the funds to expand its presence in the UK, Germany, the Nordics, and enter the US market. This will involve scaling its online offerings and expanding into retail channels such as pharmacies.
SevenVentures (part of the german media conglomerate Pro.SiebenSat.1 Group) is supporting the German expansion through a strategic TV collaboration, which has a strong presence on the German market.
“The Copenhagen based innovator has established itself as a leader in science-backed, non-invasive and preventative products targeting early-stage hair loss. Glad to be a part of the passionate and amazing team to support the German expansion,”
