One month after tech company Elva11, which in part was based in Tretton37, filed for bankruptcy, an acquirer has emerged: Acke Salem, a well-known serial entrepreneur and founder of Edument. Rapidus was first to report he has acquired the assets and operations of Elva11 from the bankruptcy estate.
Elva11, founded in early 2025 by Jim Roslund (founder of Additude), had an all-star board and funding from a Dubai-based investment firm. Despite this, the company was forced into bankruptcy in August, partly due to a sharp decline in revenue growth in the Swedish consulting industry and financing issues.
Elva11 has its roots in Tretton37, the once highly successful tech development company from Lund.
“Edument is acquiring the Elva11 brand and the company’s assets. There is a strong legacy from Tretton37 here, with talented people, valuable customer relationships and a culture that has meant a lot to the tech community in the region. We saw an opportunity to preserve those values and give them a new platform to grow from,”
Acke Salem said.
Edument, which Acke Salem co-founded, has evolved from its strong association with training to now primarily focus on advanced software development and large-scale tech projects, including work in the energy sector (its training operations now spun off as Edument Training).
Acke Salem says that regarding Elva11, the current focus is on supporting its people and customers while ensuring as much continuity as possible. He says Edument is engaging with both employees and clients, aiming to integrate a significant portion of Elva11’s expertise into its own operations.
“This acquisition is also part of a bigger ambition for Edument. We want to scale the business significantly over the coming years, both organically and through acquisitions. Our focus is on building a strong technology company around senior expertise, long-term customer relationships and the ability to take greater responsibility for complete projects rather than simply providing individual consultants,”
Acke Salem said.
