Southern Swedens largest gathering within tech is approaching, as Helsingborg Tech Week is set to return from May 5-9, 2025. Offering a dynamic place for exploring trends, innovation, and AI applications, both with startups, academia and the public sector.

Hosted by Helsingborg Innovation District and its five hubs: Lunds University, Mindpark, HETCH, Parken, and RecoLab—the event promises a week filled with inspiring lectures, workshops, and panel discussions on topics ranging from GreenTech and AI to smart cities.

A Hub for Innovation and Collaboration

Helsingborg Tech Week showcases the power of research, innovation, and entrepreneurship for addressing future challenges. The event brings together stakeholders from the city, academia, and industry to foster solutions for entrepreneurship, technological development, climate action, and future education and healthcare.

Week Highlights

In total there are 30 events happening during the week. Here are some hightlights:

  • May 5: Professor Martin de Jong from Erasmus University Rotterdam will discuss smart cities as a global investment and their impact on urban development. The keynote speaker, Anca Iordanescu, VP of Engineering at IKEA’s Store of the Future, will explore the role of women entrepreneurs in AI advancement.
  • May 6: at Mindpark, sessions will be about AI and retail. Contentor will showcase it’s latest AI tool, another session will focusing on digital product passports (DPP) and at the end of the day the Demo & Drinks will take place, where different startups from Helsingborg demo their AI tools.
  • May 7: the smart wastewater hub RecoLab will host discussions on future challenges within PropTech, including water recycling and the impact of IoT solutions. Participants can explore Pingday’s product demos and tour RecoLab.
  • May 8: IKEA invites to present on innovation in future retail at their global Sockerbruket hub in Helsingborg. The afternoon features Startup Demo Day with HETCH’s accelerator startups, followed by the Venture Cup regional final at Mindpark.
  • May 9-11: The week concludes with a community breakfast and AI exploration sessions at HETCH, an HRtech session organized by Wellbefy – and also the Startup Weekend Øresund event taking place at Mindpark and on the ferries between Denmark and Sweden!
