Lund-based startup Lightbringer, which offers an AI-powered all-in-one solution for patent protection, has raised €4.2 million (SEK 50 million) in a seed funding round. The capital injection will be used for expansion into Europe and the US.
The round was led by Luminar Ventures and Alliance VC, with additional support from Zenith VC and several angel investors in the Nordic tech ecosystem. Some of the angels who participated from the Øresund region are Johannes Bolvede, Hjalmar Antonsson, Sannah Westerlund and Johan Billgren.
Accelerating Growth and Expansion
Founded in 2023, Lightbringer launched its subscription-based platform in May 2024 and has already achieved an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of SEK 4.6 million. The company, co-founded and led by CEO Dominic Davies, anticipates further rapid growth, projecting ARR to reach between SEK 20 million and SEK 30 million by the end of 2025.
The startup previously raised SEK 8.5 million in pre-seed funding in May, led by Skåne Ventures, which helped propel the development and initial rollout of its platform.
Revolutionizing Patent Protection
Lightbringer’s AI-driven platform simplifies the complex process of patent protection, offering companies a streamlined solution to manage intellectual property efficiently. By integrating cutting-edge technology with user-friendly tools, the company aims to make patent management more accessible for businesses of all sizes.
