Together with Sparbanksstiftelsen Finn, Lund University has organized a competition for the best future innovation ideas. All students or employees at Lund University with an idea which is not fully developed yet and has not entered the commercial stage, are welcome to participate. Ideas and projects in all disciplines are welcome and a total of SEK 200.000 (€20.000) will be awarded to the best future innovations, reports LU Innovation.
LU Innovation is the hub for innovation and commercialisation at Lund University. They work with the University’s researchers and students to bring benefit and growth to society. They continuously initiate and actively participate in different projects. By organizing this competition, they want to reward innovations of the future – already today.
In the competition they prioritise ideas that are still in the early stages and assess them on the potential strength of the future innovation. When determining the winners, they will take into account the level of innovation, a commercial potential and/or societal benefit and newsworthiness. The competition consists of two categories, Employee and Student, and in each category they will give out a first prize and two honorary awards. All those who take part in the competition will also get the opportunity to apply for other financial support and will receive help in other forms from LU Innovation.
So for anyone who has a good idea which could go far in the future, or which could make something that already exists so much better, this is your chance to share it. The application deadline is 13 December.
