In a move to cement leadership in European foodtech, Malmö-based Matilda FoodTech has acquired Erudus, the UK’s premier product data platform for the foodservice industry.

This follows the recent acquisitions of PS in Foodservice in the Netherlands and Dabas in Sweden, establishing Matilda the largest player operating a connected, multi-market ecosystem of validated product data platforms across Northern Europe.

“The acquisition of Erudus doesn’t just expand our footprint – it completes a foundational layer of our strategy. With Erudus, Delfi/Dabas and PS in Foodservice under one roof, we now have an unparalleled ability to distribute, enrich, and activate trusted product data across borders – accelerating innovation in procurement, compliance, and sustainability throughout the food value chain,”

says Erik Bergseth, CEO of Matilda FoodTech.

Erudus is trusted by a majority of UK foodservice wholesalers and manufacturers for its validated data on allergens, nutrition, and technical specifications – driving operational clarity and regulatory compliance. As part of Matilda, Erudus will now plug into a larger network of solutions that support every stage of the meal process, from sourcing to serving.

“There’s clear value in connecting the strengths of Erudus, PS in Foodservice, and Dabas. Together, we can help manufacturers and suppliers manage product data more efficiently across markets, while opening up new possibilities for collaboration on tenders, traceability, and sustainability,”

says Jon Shayler, CEO of Erudus.

With this acquisition, Matilda FoodTech opens up the ability to operate national product databases across three key markets: UK, Netherlands, and Nordics. The strategic value of this connected dataset will compound rapidly as Matilda continues to build out platform capabilities and partner integrations.
