Malmö-based pea-based drink brand Sproud announced that British entrepreneur and TV presenter Maya Jama, known for being the Love Island host, has invested in the company. With the UK as one of Sproud’s largest markets, Jama will play a strategic role in expanding brand awareness as well as advising on brand direction.
“There’s so much to love about Sproud. The products taste amazing, and the design is truly unique. But what I admire most is the company’s commitment to health and the climate. The Swedish connection also appealed to me. My mother is half-Swedish, and I have fond childhood memories of summers in Sweden with my grandparents,”
said Maya
Sproud’s products are widely available in major supermarkets, online retailers like Amazon, and cafes such as Joe & The Juice, in addition to grocery chains like ICA and Coop in Sweden.
“With Maya’s help, we’ll be able to accelerate our aim of making plant-based alternatives a natural part of daily life for everyone, whether it’s part of the weekly grocery shop or what we pour into our coffee.”
