Copenhagen-based startup Bemakers has raised €3.5 million in seed funding to further develop its innovative beverage distribution platform. The company, launched in 2022, already works with over 200 brand owners and distributors across eight European countries. CEO and co-founder Morten Stengaard emphasized that the funding will help expand Bemakers’ market presence and enhance its platform, which streamlines complex logistics, customs, and tax procedures.

With a focus on technology and scalability, Bemakers uses AI-driven workflows to optimize the distribution process. The platform’s services include handling excise duties, VAT, and customer support, offering brands a seamless way to fulfill orders across Europe. Bemakers also integrates with Amazon, Systembolaget, and other key distribution channels.

“This investment will enable us to expand distribution channels into more new markets, thereby helping our brand partners reach a wider audience. More importantly, it supports our goal of making the beverage industry more efficient while empowering brand owners and distributors.”

said Morten Stengaard

Among its partners is Radico, an Indian distillery, and Thy Whisky, a Danish distillery.

“We’ve invested a lot of time and effort into building a unique Thy product universe for our Danish ecommerce presence. We wanted to replicate that in other European countries. The solution Bemakers provided via the integration enables this and within a week we were up and running in 4 new markets. It’s so simple and allows me to stay in control of my brand and my customers’ experience”,

says Andreas Poulsen, co-founder of Thy Whisky.

Bemakers will showcase its platform at Bar Convent Berlin, where they will engage with brand partners and trade buyers to further enhance their footprint in the beverage industry.
