Heavy hitters in tech have lined up to fund Growblocks new revenue platform to accelerate hyper growth for scaleups. Securing € 2.1M backed by no less than 19 VC and angel investors Growblocks promises to make revenue growth predictable for scale-ups.
Toni Holbein CEO and co-founder Olafur Palsson COO have spent years manually building revenue models for some of the biggest SaaS success stories in Denmark including Falcon.io, Planday, Templafy and Adform. They’ve seen time and time again the importance of connecting revenue goals to actionable plans within the business in order to scale quickly.
“One of the biggest issues scale-ups face is their ability to predict where their revenue will come from and when. Without cracking the code to predictable revenue, businesses will struggle to hit their milestones” says CEO Toni Hohlbein.
The co-founders recall when they started talking to investors it would only be a matter of minutes before the lightbulb moment happened and the investors immediately related to the problem.
“I think we ended up with so many angel investors this round because they all recognised quickly that if we could offer scale-ups the ability to formalise their revenue models past budgeting it would have a massive impact on their ability to scale faster,” says CEO and co-founder Toni Hohlbein.
Software to model revenue and connect to actionable plans isn’t affordable for these companies who are the ones who really need it. It’s an expensive problem to fix and scale-ups don’t have the big budgets to dedicate to formalising their revenue models past budgeting.
“Growblocks is the tool we would have loved to rely on. We’re building a solution that provides data driven insights and connects them with the operational reality of driving growth,” says CEO and co-founder Toni Hohlbein.
Ulrik Bo Larsen, non-executive chairman of Growblocks and investor, says:
“I’ve seen this team successfully grow revenue time and time again, when they told me they wanted to productise their methodology, it was a no brainer for me.”
Ulrik Bo Larsen is co-.founder and CEO of Falcon.io & Brandwatch President.
