Linda Bjernstål is one of the less known successful entrepreneurs in the region. Growing Flygstolen, an online flightsearch site, to over €175 million in revenue since starting it over 10 years ago, Linda later sold her company to Dutch Otravo. Continuing to head it as CEO after the acquisition, she in december 2016 stepped down. Since then she has been exploring new opportunities and been seen at events such as E-commerce Invest Day.
Now she has announced her next project – going into the e-commerce market, both investing and becoming part of the operation team at the still small fashion e-commerce company Pillowtalk.
“My role is to lead the company’s digital development and e-commerce solutions. We plan to initially launch the business in other countries, but in the first place, it is about building a good platform for the Swedish market.” says Linda Bjernstål to 8till5.
Pillowtalk specialises in cashmere garments, focusing on high quality products. Linda, never shy of challenges, sees it as a very interesting company and market.
“It feels great to get into a whole new industry, to learn something new and start over from the beginning. The clothing industry goes through tough times, and even major players like H&M are struggling now. This makes it extra interesting for me to invest in and work with high quality clothes.” says Linda.
