In a move to tackle one of e-commerce’s biggest challenges, Denmark’s leading e-commerce brands have joined forces with Reversio to change the way returns are managed.

Over the past nine months, Reversio has collaborated with Danish e-commerce brands such as Watery, Winther Studio, MessyWeekend, Nü, and Bareen. Their goal: to develop a comprehensive solution that reduces returns while maintaining revenue. Reversio’s platform offers full personalization, seamless integration with leading warehouse systems, and an enhanced customer experience, addressing many of the friction points faced by e-commerce companies today.

This innovative approach has attracted prominent investors, including Nicki and Aleksander Due-Rasmussen, founders of Black Lemon and partners at Obsidian, Denmark’s largest digital marketing agency. Additionally, Christoffer Bouet and Lasse Viggo, founders of Contribe, have also invested in Reversio.

A New Approach to Returns

Reversio’s strategy goes beyond simply limiting return options. By focusing on understanding customer behavior, predicting returns, and implementing proactive solutions, Reversio helps brands reduce returns without compromising the customer experience.

Bjørn Enevoldsen Gram, CEO and Co-founder of Reversio, brings eight years of e-commerce experience to the table. He has witnessed firsthand the impact of high return rates on company margins and the inadequacy of existing solutions.

“Returns are not just a logistical headache – they are one of the biggest threats to the profitability of the e-commerce industry. And they burden the environment. I saw a huge need for a comprehensive solution that not only handles returns more intelligently but also ensures that no department compromises. That’s why we gathered a strong team and some of Denmark’s leading e-commerce companies to build a solution that actually makes a difference,”

says Bjørn.

The Billion-Dollar Problem of Returns

The scale of the problem is immense. According to Dansk Erhverv, over 17 billion DKK worth of goods are returned annually in Denmark alone. The fashion industry is particularly affected, with 15% of all purchases being returned. Additionally, 34% of consumers find returning items too cumbersome, impacting customer satisfaction and repeat purchases.

Nicki Due Rasmussen, who works with many large e-commerce companies in Denmark, emphasizes the need for a better solution:

“In my everyday work with some of the largest e-commerce companies in Denmark, returns are an issue that almost everyone faces. It’s not just an economic problem – it’s a customer experience that is often far from optimal. Reversio doesn’t just solve this problem smarter; it also ensures that brands can maintain their revenue and improve customer experience. It’s a gamechanger for the industry.”
