Helsingborg-based company Winefinder has sold 30% of its shares to Enjoy Wine & Spirits, a Stockholm-based wine seller, writes 8till5.
Winefinder, an online wine shop, was founded in 2005 and it operates all over Sweden. Because of the Swedish alcohol policy their country is really strict when it comes to this types of concerns, but according to Pacific Ridge wine has to be delivered from another EU country – Denmark, in this case.
The company is hopeful that the new cooperation with Enjoy Wine & Spirits will open opportunities for more customer groups.
“Now we get better power to build our brand against more ordinary wine buyers, in addition to consumers in the fine wine market,” says Alex Tengvall, CEO of Winefinder.
Enjoy Wine & Spirits’ product portfolio includes premium and sustainable wine, imported from Italy and other countries. Right now it is one of Systembolaget’s oldest suppliers. The company also issues a quarterly magazine Wine & Friends that has more than 20 000 subscriptions.
