SupWiz is a Danish startup that operates within AI-based customer support, and it has just been awarded the Grand Solutions Prize 2019, along with ca. €175 000 from the Innovation Fund.
The prize was awarded for the startup’s impressive AI software, which today is used by thousands of service providers. The number of end-users (customers and partners) exceeds a million and a half. According to Innovation Fund’s director, the AI operates so smoothly, that it is impossible to tell apart whether a customer communicates with a person or the SupWiz’s intelligent chatbot. Moreover, when many customers contact a website at the same time, the chatbot is quick to respond. Other products developed by SupWiz include intelligent ticket routing, knowledge suggestions, and more.
Interestingly, the company was founded in 2017 and has already managed to reach such a success in a very short period of time.
Stephen Alstrup, SupWiz’s CEO and computer science Professor at the University of Copenhagen says:
“We are extremely proud. This prize is a huge acknowledgement of our work and collaboration. I hope, it will make more companies realize the enormous value potential of using AI in customer service.”
The award was presented by Denmark’s Minister of Education and Science, who mentioned that SupWiz’s research ‘makes a difference for people and companies‘.
At the moment, the SupWiz’s products are being used by hundreds of companies, even including the Municipality of Copenhagen.
The startup’s team consists of world class researchers, developers and entrepreneurs.
