Venture capital company Sunstone Capital has appointed entrepreneur and investment professional Max Niederhofer as new partner.

11 years of working with early-stage startups means Max Niederhofer will be bringing extensive experience and knowledge to the table. This may very well benefit Sunstone Capital, which is intensifying its focus on Europe.

“Max’s background and experience strengthen our strategy of supporting European entrepreneurs at the earliest stages of company building,” managing partner of Sunstone Capital Jimmy Fussing Nielsen explains.

In his own words, Max Niederhofer is “I am thrilled to be joining a partnership that allows me to be an investor as well as an entrepreneur,” and furthermore states that the goal is for Sunstone Capital to be the preferred early-stage venture company of Europe.

Max Niederhofer comes from a position as vice president of Accel Partners in London. Additionally, he has co-founded the data marketing company Qwerly and was recently named the winner of The Europas Awards‘ price for “Best Startup Advisor/ Mentor 2012”.
