Ge.tt, the Copenhagen based startup that makes it easy to share files, has been acquired by e-conomic, Trendsonline reports. The sums are not disclosed, but given that ge.tt had over 2 million users and some strong early investment, we assume it was a good deal.

“The acquisition of Ge.tt is part of the growth strategy that we now have the opportunity to do. We have chosen to buy Ge.tt because the technology they have developed for their file-sharing service that is interesting in the development of the new products that we are doing,” says Torben Frigaard Rasmussen from e-conomic

Ge.tt, one of the startups at Founders House, has previously received investment from amongst other Niklas Zennströms and Janus Friis Atomico.

“We are very excited. We have fought hard to get here, so it feels really good. It was a little long journey that has now come to some kind of closure,” says Tobias Baunbæk, founder and CEO of Ge.tt to Version2

Tobias, Mattias and the team from Ge.tt will continue working at e-conomics.

“It will be something else to be a part of the e-conomic, but we have ‘warmed up’ by working together with them the last few months and found out that we can match well with what they can,” says Tobias.

We wish them all good luck and success in future startup journeys.
