E-commerce Park of Sweden, a key player in fostering innovation within the e-commerce and retail sectors, has announced its expansion to Mindpark in Helsingborg. Beginning in 2025, this move will combine E-commerce Park’s expertise with the vibrant coworking and entrepreneurial environment of Mindpark, creating new opportunities for startups and established businesses alike.
A Strategic Move for Innovation
E-commerce Park, known for its Future Retail Incubator program, will maintain its existing location while expanding its operations to Mindpark. This integration positions the organization at the heart of Helsingborg’s Innovation District, a hub of collaboration between companies, institutions, and researchers.
“This expansion is a natural evolution of our mission to foster innovation and growth within the e-commerce and retail sectors. By moving into Mindpark and being part of the Helsingborg Innovation District, we aim to create even stronger connections between startups and established companies.”
says Zhenni Liang of E-commerce Park.
The Future Retail Incubator has a proven track record in helping e-commerce startups scale, and the move to Mindpark will provide participants with access to a broader network of resources, events, and partnerships.
“Mindpark is a place where businesses thrive and new ideas are formed. Having the incubator established here is something we welcome, and we look forward to bridging e-commerce with other businesses at our location,”
says Helene Tigerström, COO of Mindpark.
Strengthening Local Collaboration
The move also bolsters partnerships with Lund University and its REAL research cluster, a leading center for retail and logistics innovation. This alignment is expected to enhance opportunities for startups and researchers in the region.
“This collaboration not only enriches our community but also strengthens Helsingborg’s position as a leading innovation hub, bringing the Innovation District even closer together,”
says Zeynep Erdal, representative of the Helsingborg Innovation District.
The expansion has received strong support from Wihlborgs, the property owner of Fabriken1891, where Mindpark is located.
“Ever since Helsingborgs Gummifabrik established its operations at this site in 1891, this has been a central hub for Helsingborg’s business life. Now, as part of the Innovation District, we are pleased that it is further reinforced by E-commerce Park and their Future Retail Incubator,”
says Ola Caapsgård, property manager at Wihlborgs.
Building on the regions entrepreneurial ecosystem
The collaboration marks another step in Helsingborg’s efforts to cement its role as a key player in Sweden’s innovation landscape, and it’s strength in E-commerce. By expanding to Mindpark, E-commerce Park will provide startups with more coworking options, access to a thriving entrepreneurial community and also being able to use Mindparks presence in Malmö, Lund and Gothenburg.
