Helsingborg’s based company Fieldly that provides digital project management tools for construction companies raised 5.3 million SEK (620,000 euro) investment, reports DiGital. The money came from business angel Lars Dahlén, who has experience from Sony and Ericsson in Lund and is a board member at the family-owned construction company Byggmästarn.
Fieldly was founded in 2014 and got its first funding from LU Innovation System, Lund University’s investment company. Conditions of the current deal are not disclosed apart from the fact that the founders retain majority ownership of the company.
Fieldly provides project management tool for construction companies, a digital replacement for paper chaos that often prevails in the construction industry. How it works is that craftsmen in the field get their work orders and send invoices directly through Fieldly phone app. In the office the supervisor can plan and follow up the work via a web interface.
The company currently has some twenty Swedish construction companies as customers and about 400 paying users. They pay a fixed monthly fee for the service which is determined by the size and number of users. After spring visit to the US together with Invest in Skåne, Fieldly has also started receiving inquaries from several American consturction companies.
“Within a year we want to have 6,000 paying users. Then we are ready for a round that will take us to North America. But we are also interested in Scandinavian and German markets,” shared company’s co-founder and CEO Daniel Krusenstråhle.
