The e-health startup Trialbee announced that it will raise € 2.5M (21.4M SEK) in a new round of financing.

Trialbee, which was founded in 2010 by Jonas Billing and Tobias Folkesson, has developed a web-based technology platform for patient recruitment for pharmaceutical companies’ clinical studies. It has since start gained a lot of traction, with big clients and partners such as Index Pharmaceuticals. It was also earlier this year listed as one of Swedens 33 hotest tech startups.

The additional funding is aimed at financing a further international expansion, besides the over 40 clinics that are served in Europe already. Also planned are further product development and to increase it’s number of employees significantly, from the current 9.

Trialbee already has received some funding, the major shareholders today are Industrifonden and Briban Invest as well as business angel Hampus Jakobsson.
