Last week Abeo was distinguished as “Europe’s best spin-out company” at the Academic Enterprise Awards conference that focuses on research, innovation and entrepreneurship. The selection process lasted about a month. In the course of competition Abeo has impressed judges with an extraordinary technical research that was successfully turned into business and thus has receive the award.
The prize was awarded by Science|Business organization, formed of the two business schools, INSEAD and ESADE, in collaboration with Microsoft and BP. Richard Hudson, director of the Science Business, said the following about Abeo:
“Abeo is first and foremost a really strong example of a company that has successfully managed to take a technology from a technical university and translate it into a company with a global opportunity. Abeo also represents the essence of what we at European level need at the moment if we are to remain innovative and maintain our competitiveness. ”
This is the first time that Danish company receives this award. Congratulations!
